About mHealth Zone

We started behind a microphone. We never really left it — we just added a newsroom, a research desk and a stage.

Our Origins

It began as a weekly radio show

mHealth Zone was born as a weekly online radio program dedicated to a topic that, at the time, barely had a name: mobile health. Every week, live on air, we interviewed the people trying to put healthcare into people's pockets — the developers of the first medical apps, the physicians rigging up remote monitoring with consumer hardware, the health system executives who suspected the smartphone would change everything and the skeptics who were sure it would not.

Those early conversations taught us the discipline that still defines this publication: talk to the people doing the work, ask the operational questions everyone else skips, and never confuse a press release with evidence.

Then and Now

From the airwaves to a full editorial hub

The industry grew up, and so did we. Here is how a radio show became a digital health intelligence brand.

The radio years

A weekly live show interviewing mHealth pioneers, back when explaining "an app your doctor prescribes" earned puzzled looks. Hundreds of episodes built an archive — and an audience — that still anchors everything we do.

The expansion

As mobile health became simply health, we added written analysis, market research and live events. The show itself evolved into The mHealth Zone Podcast, carrying the original format to a global streaming audience.

Today

An independent editorial and intelligence hub covering health apps, telemedicine, wearables, AI and regulation — read by 25,000 professionals and trusted by the teams building digital health's next decade.

What We Believe

The principles behind the coverage

Evidence over enthusiasm

Digital health is full of genuine breakthroughs and equally genuine vaporware. Our job is telling them apart. We privilege peer-reviewed evidence, real deployment data and first-hand operator testimony over funding announcements and demo-day promises.

Independence is the product

Our editorial and commercial operations are firewalled. Sponsors and consulting clients never buy coverage, and sponsored content is always labeled. Readers trust us because that line has never moved.

Operators over pundits

The most valuable insights come from people with operational scar tissue — the clinician who ran the telehealth program, the founder who survived the FDA submission. Those are the voices we put on air and on the page.

Technology serves care

We are enthusiasts about outcomes, not gadgets. Every story we publish ultimately answers one question: does this help real patients get better care? When the answer is no, we say so.

Fifteen years in, still asking better questions

Join the readers, listeners and clients who rely on mHealth Zone to make sense of digital health — or just say hello. We still love a good conversation.
